Peopleclick Delivers Market Success with Internet Applicant Compliance Program; More Than 20 Companies Prepared to Meet Regulatory Compliance

Business Wire, April 25, 2006

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Confirming the viability of its Internet Applicant Compliance Program, Peopleclick Inc., the leading Total Workforce Acquisition provider for global organizations, announced today that more than 20 Fortune 500 companies have contracted for its multi-faceted federal compliance solution in the first quarter of 2006.

The program, which provides consulting, training support and education, is the first comprehensive package that helps federal contractors comply with the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs' (OFCCP) final rule regarding the definition of an Internet applicant. The OFCCP's regulations relate to the record keeping of search criteria used to source job candidates.

Motorola is a Peopleclick client and a federal contractor that added the Internet Applicant Compliance solution to its Recruitment Management System (RMS).

"While Motorola tracks OFCCP changes, the new regulations provided some challenges. Peopleclick gave us the third-party expertise we needed to efficiently adapt and comply," said Andy Newman, staffing director for Motorola. "The versatility of Peopleclick's RMS allowed us to quickly react to the new regulations and the one-to-one consulting provided recommendations for our specific search and record keeping processes."

Peopleclick's Internet Applicant Compliance Program includes consulting, a Web-based workshop, a best practices toolkit and an e-learning tutorial for recruiters.

"One of the biggest challenges presented by the OFCCP's final regulations has been understanding the record keeping requirements and implementing the technology to support them," said Lisa Rowan, IDC's program manager for HR and Talent Management services research. "Federal contractors who do not go through the due diligence to confirm the compliance of their own solutions, policies and procedures, are taking a big risk."

Peopleclick Research Institute's Dr. Murray Simpson and Dr. Lisa Harpe have led the dialogue on the OFCCP's new definition of an Internet applicant and its effect on federal contractors. Most recently, Dr. Simpson spoke at an HR.com Webcast and at IHRIM Carolinas.

"With 30 years of EEO and AA compliance experience, Peopleclick took a leadership role guiding federal contractors through this process," said Dr. Simpson, senior consultant for the Peopleclick Research Institute. "Our training workshops help clients put OFCCP requirements into perspective and ensure they are taking the appropriate steps to meet regulations."

The OFCCP's final rule on a definition of an Internet applicant took effect Feb. 6, 2006. A 90-day grace period has been extended to federal contractors, as long as efforts towards compliance can be demonstrated.
