ICAT Logistics' Expo Division Expands Client List; GFI Software Chooses ICAT Expo as its Preferred Shipping Carrier
Business Wire, April 25, 2006
LINTHICUM, Md. -- ICAT Logistics, Inc. (www.icatlogistics.com), a leading provider of worldwide transport and expedited freight services, today announced the addition of their newest client, GFI Software. ICAT, one of the fastest growing logistics companies in the country, and a recipient of the INC 500, Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year and International SCN awards, will handle the shipping needs for GFI's marketing department, specifically for tradeshows.
GFI Software, a market leader with the ability to innovate and adopt key technologies, is a leading developer of network security, messaging software, and content security. Unfortunately, it took a hard lesson for GFI to learn the value of ICAT over its competition.
"GFI was attending a Government Technology show in Washington, DC, but when we arrived at the show site we found that some of our equipment was damaged, and our shipping crates had obviously been treated with little care," remarked Stephen Nolan, MCSE, CCNA - Sales Manager for GFI Software. "I was disappointed that yet another carrier seemed to have very little concern for an expensive and integral piece of equipment to the success of our trade show marketing efforts."
Problems such as the Government Technology show disaster can hinder a company's success, yet are fairly common among tradeshow exhibitors. With a customer base exceeding 300,000 customers to date, including Microsoft, NASA, Coca-Cola Beverages AG, BMW, US Navy, and the US IRS, GFI Software realized that their logistics provider needs to be as passionate about their exhibit as they are.
"When GFI asked how ICAT would have handled the situation differently, I told them about the value that ICAT places on their shipping procedures," said Rob Dinker, National Account Manager for ICAT Logistics. "ICAT would assign her a personal Account Manager who would ensure that all shipments would arrive to their site on time, while appropriately secured throughout the transit."
GFI saw the value and dedication ICAT Expo places on their clients' shipment needs. Knowing that ICAT would be beneficial to GFI Software in transferring their shipments to future shows, GFI selected ICAT Expo to handle their tradeshow shipping needs.
