Kintera Launches Revolutionary Social CRM System, Uniting Online and Offline Constituent Experiences; Kintera Sphere v8.0 Launch Includes Enhanced CRM System and Donor Management Solution
Business Wire, April 3, 2006
ATLANTA -- Kintera(R) Inc. (NASDAQ:KNTA) today launched Kintera Sphere(TM) v8.0, introducing its new social CRM system. The system enables organizations to drive all interactions based on comprehensive knowledge of constituents and provides a single, interactive system to manage relationships.
Uniting constituents' online and offline experiences into one database, Kintera's social CRM system provides nonprofits and constituents with a total view of the constituent's relationship with the organization. Built on Kintera Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) and comprised of Donor Management, Member Management, Prospect Management, Participant Management and Volunteer Management solutions, the social CRM system provides nonprofits with critical data needed to build relationships with donors, members, prospects, participants and volunteers. Social CRM uses meaningful communications to create a more powerful giving experience, including enhanced trust, sense of belonging, instant gratification, emotional release and sense of social impact.
"Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is excited to use Kintera's new social CRM system to provide us with a holistic view of our constituent relationships," said Robin Palley, vice president of new business development for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. "In addition, the product provides an interactive platform for both donors and our staff, enabling donors to become more active participants in their relationship with our organization."
"Industry recognition of the software as a service delivery model is increasing as adoption continues to grow," said Erin Traudt, research analyst for software as a service at IDC. "Customers are experiencing the benefits of the delivery model including easier access to software functionality to run and manage their businesses and realize organizational productivity improvements."
Delivered via the Kintera Sphere software as a service platform, Kintera CRM is the foundation of the social CRM system and enables nonprofits to centrally record and manage the most important aspects of their relationships to provide constituents a better experience with their organization. Organizations can build more complete constituent profiles with extensive standard profiles, custom fields and dynamic segmentation. Feature highlights of Kintera CRM include:
--Financials -- Intuitive interface records all online and offline purchases and gifts. Tracks individual gifts and pledges, including giving periods, schedules and amounts.
--Interactions -- Centrally records constituents' online and offline activities. Leverages virtual grouping of assigned constituent records, facilitating control of each user's access to records.
--Relationships -- Identifies relationships among constituents in six categories: Personal, Employment, Education, Affiliation, Fundraising and Other.
--Addresses -- Tracks seasonal and historical dates for addresses to build a complete view of constituents' residency, and uses this information to ensure effective communications delivery.
Kintera Sphere v8.0 also includes the newest social CRM solution, Kintera Donor Management, which helps organizations manage relationships with donors, work with greater oversight of donor activities and histories, and execute financial development efforts. Kintera Donor Management is built on the functionality of Kintera CRM and additional feature highlights include:
--Gift Processing -- Manages a broad range of gift types, including straight donations, pledges, recurring gifts, split gifts, soft credits, gifts of stock, and gifts in kind.
--Development Campaign Manager -- Allows development staff to define and manage campaigns, funds and appeals. Manages multiple campaign types, including annual, capital and endowment campaigns. Assigns prospects to development staff and manages opportunities.
--Letters and Acknowledgements -- Automates the creation and sending of personalized thank you letters for gifts and pledges to ensure donors are acknowledged promptly and consistently for their donations.
"The release of Kintera Sphere v8.0 revolutionizes the way organizations and constituents interact," said Harry E. Gruber, M.D., Kintera CEO. "By introducing our social CRM system, there is finally a system that can capture two sides of the philanthropy relationship in a way that is tailored to each person involved, internally or externally."
