Cyber Digital, Inc. Pursues Acquisitions of Competitive Local Exchange Carriers and Internet Service Providers; Significantly Improve Profitability of Acquired CLECs and ISPs Business
Business Wire, April 4, 2006
NEW YORK -- Cyber Digital, Inc. (OTCBB:CYBD), a leading designer and software developer of advanced digital voice and broadband data switches, indicated today that it wants to acquire Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLECs) and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) that are going to be accretive. CYBD expects to significantly improve the profitability of acquired CLECs and ISPs by migrating their customers to its low-cost 'last mile' voice and data network.
CYBD has the potential of being a gold mine by creating an alternative to the Bells' 'Last Mile' voice and broadband local switching network. To-date, the Bells control almost all of the 'Last Mile' local switching network that connects subscribers, whether residential or business. And, CLECs and ISPs lease the switching networks from the Bells at exorbitant rates, and incur recurring losses.
Moreover, Federal Communications Commission (FCC) deregulated telecommunications industry on March 2006 by disallowing CLECs and ISPs to lease 'Last Mile' voice and data local switching networks from the Bells at FCC set cut-rate prices - further exacerbating the economic viability of CLECs and ISPs. As the Ex-Chairman of FCC, Michael Powell said, "Build networks or get bought out". This paradigm shift allows CYBD to aggressively build local switching networks to serve the customer base of those acquired CLECs and ISPs, who do not have the capability to build their networks or else they suffer from erosion of their customer base.
CYBD's core competences have been in the 'Last Mile' local switching networks - the deregulation of which has created an enormous market opportunity. In recognition of this market opportunity, CYBD signed an agreement with Level 3 Communications (Nasdaq: LVLT) that will provide long distance and international calls termination to all calls generated on CYBD's network as well as broadband access to the Internet. CYBD's next generation systems offer voice, data, video, multi-media, etc. on IP (Internet Protocol) network - which is the future of telecommunications.
"Please call us and find out how we can benefit you, CLECs and ISPs, before you get crushed by the Bells. We will invest for network build out and serve your customer base. Consider our network as a UNE-P replacement," stated J.C. Chatpar, president and CEO.
