Halter USX China Index Adds Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. and New Dragon Asia Corp. and Announces First Quarter 2006 Results

DALLAS -- For the first quarter of 2006, the Halter USX China Index (AMEX:HXC) was up 19.47%. During the same period, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 3.66% and the Nasdaq was up 6.10%.

HXC is pleased to announce the inclusion of 2 new constituents to its existing index of China-focused, U.S. listed companies including: Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. (NYSE:STP), a Chinese solar energy company which designs, develops, manufactures, and markets various photovoltaic cells and modules for electric power applications in the residential, commercial, industrial, and public utility sectors and New Dragon Asia Corp. (AMEX:NWD) which engages in the milling, sale, and distribution of flour and related products, including instant noodles and soybean-derived products, to retail and wholesale customers in China.

Due to an acquisition and subsequent delisting, Jilin Chemical Industrial was removed from HXC.
