Cox Communications Receives J.D. Power and Associates' Highest Honor in Business Data Study for Small/Midsize Businesses

ATLANTA -- Cox Communications Inc., a full-service, facilities-based provider of communications solutions for residential and commercial customers, announced today that it received the highest honor in J.D. Power and Associates' 2006 Major Provider Business Telecommunications Services Study(SM) - Data for highest customer satisfaction among small/midsize business data service providers in the nation.
This marks the first year that its Cox Business Services division has been included in this study, allowing Cox to round out its collection of J.D. Power and Associates honors. In 2005, Cox ranked highest among Internet service providers in the J.D. Power and Associates' 2005 Internet Service Provider Residential Satisfaction Study(SM). It also ranked highest in overall satisfaction for residential local telephone service in the West in 2005, marking its third consecutive year of receiving a telephone honor. In 1996, Cox received highest honors for its video services.

Cox received the highest score of any provider in the small/midsize segment in the inaugural year of the J.D. Power and Associates Business Telecommunications Services Study and ranks highest in six factors that measure overall satisfaction: performance and reliability; sales representatives and account executives; customer service; billing; cost of service; and company image - scoring 43 index points higher than the industry average for the segment.
