Insight Communications Reports Operating Statistics for First Quarter 2006

INSIGHT COMMUNICATIONS REPORTS OPERATING STATISTICS FOR FIRST QUARTER 2006
Insight Communications Company today announced selected operating statistics for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. These statistics are being provided in anticipation of presentations to be made by senior executives at The NCTA National Show in Atlanta, Ga. on April 9 - 11, 2006.
Insight reported total RGUs for Q1 2006 of 2,481,700, an annual increase of 15% from Q1 2005. These RGUs were comprised of:
--A Basic customer net gain of 25,100, reflecting an annual increase of 2.8% from Q1 2005 and a quarterly increase of 2.0% from the end of Q4 2005, resulting in 1,306,700 basic customers at quarter end;
--A Digital customer net gain of 41,700, increasing digital customers to 560,500 at quarter end;
--A Telephone customer net gain of 9,800, bringing total telephone customers to 99,700 at quarter end; and
--A High-speed Internet customer net gain of 44,400. Total HSI customers at quarter end were 514,800.
Insight expects to provide detailed first quarter 2006 results in a press release during the first week of May.
