Business Wire, August 1, 2006
NEW YORK & DAYTON, Ohio -- ALM's Law.com(R) and LexisNexis, a leading provider of information and services solutions, today announced an alliance that will expand and enhance online continuing legal education options for attorneys.
Under the agreement, the Law.com CLE Center will become the exclusive source for LexisNexis Mealey's(TM) online CLE courses, providing lawyers with a single Web destination that delivers a wide array of online options for meeting legal professional education requirements.
Law.com and the LexisNexis(R) Mealey(TM) business unit will jointly market LexisNexis(R) Mealey's(TM) online CLE programs through the Law.com CLE Center and other Law.com channels.
"We are delighted to partner with LexisNexis on this initiative, which brings together two of the profession's recognized leaders in CLE," said Jennifer Collins, managing director of Law.com. "We look forward to adding the deep and focused industry content available from LexisNexis, in areas such as insurance and pharmaceuticals, to our online CLE courses and to facilitating access to our combined offerings on the Law.com CLE Center."
The alliance provides added options for attorneys whose work commitments and time constraints often prevent them from attending in-person training.
"Up to this point, the only way to access Mealey's conference content was to attend a program. Now it's available online through this partnership," said Sharon Boothe Senior Director, Mealey's Conferences. "Attorneys who want to take online CLE and learn about niche areas of litigation now have another option."
