(NYSE:PRU) announced today a new service available this month to all of its individual and group long-term care insurance policyholders and their family members offered through an arrangement between The Prudential Insurance Company of America and National Eldercare Referral Systems, Inc. (CareScout). The Prudential Long-Term Care Resource Center makes the process of finding a long-term care provider easier by offering an array of valuable local and national long-term care information, quality ratings, and discounts.
"The choices surrounding the search for an appropriate provider can be complex and overwhelming, especially in the midst of a long-term care crisis," said Andy Mako, senior vice president of Prudential's Long-Term Care insurance business. "This new service helps simplify the process and can connect our customers and their loved ones with providers that most closely meet their specific needs within their communities. The new resource center is a way to positively impact the lives of our policyholders as well as add value to our products."
Whether looking up information for themselves or for family members, the Prudential Long-Term Care Resource Center can be accessed immediately by policyholders through Prudential's website or by phone, at no additional charge. Volumes of information and features are available through the website, including:
--A database of more than 80,000 providers and more than 500 pages of helpful content and information;
--Information on nursing homes, assisted living/residential care facilities, home health aides, and more;
--Up-to-date quality ratings of facilities and services, based on objective, publicly available data;
--Discounts on select facilities ranging from 7% to 35% that can lead to significant savings;
--Articles and helpful tips on caregiving.
