Business Wire, August 14, 2006
HOUSTON -- LogicaCMG, a major international force in IT services, announces today the appointment of Jeff Provine as President of LogicaCMG's North American energy and utilities division. His responsibilities include the overall management and success of LogicaCMG's business, strategy, product and services offerings for the energy and utilities market throughout North America.
Jeff brings to LogicaCMG 24 years of broad experience in sales and marketing, management, and the delivery of information systems, as well as expertise in the operations and processes within the oil and gas, energy trading, utilities transmission and distribution arenas.
Commenting on the appointment, Jim Yates, chief executive officer, LogicaCMG North America, said: "We are pleased that an executive as knowledgeable and motivated as Jeff Provine joins LogicaCMG to lead our North American energy and utilities operations. At a time when our energy and utilities division is helping our customers achieve important new goals, Jeff adds the right combination of innovative thinking and experience to further shape our expanding offerings for this marketplace."
Before joining LogicaCMG, Jeff was the vice president energy solutions at Cambridge Technology Partners (CTP), prior to that company's acquisition by Novell. There he assumed the managing partner position in Novell's integrated services organization, driving the company's expansion into new markets and business areas. Prior to CTP, Jeff held senior management positions at BusinessEdge Solutions and Computer Sciences Corporation. No stranger to the capabilities that have ensured LogicaCMG's past accomplishments, from 1990-1998 Jeff played a major role in the growth of the former Logica energy and utilities organization as he worked in a range of different management positions, including vice president of sales and marketing, vice president of project and product management, vice president and general manager, and senior vice president of operations.
"I am excited to once again join the talented LogicaCMG team that consistently delivers quality solutions to the energy and utilities market," Jeff stated. "In my experience, success is accomplished through strong management commitment, an inspiring business vision and a persistent focus on execution, which culminates in a deeply rooted desire to make customers successful. LogicaCMG energy and utilities division's management team and staff possess all of these traits. I feel fortunate to be part of this group, and personally look forward to continuing our positive impact on the industry while strengthening the value we bring to our clients through expanded offerings, commitment and service."
