ECI Telecom Appoints Avi Cohen, Former KLA Tencor Executive as Chief Operating Officer

PETAH TIKVA, Israel -- ECI Telecom (NASDAQ:ECIL) announced today the appointment of Avi Cohen as Chief Operating Officer reporting directly to ECI's President and CEO, Rafi Maor.
Cohen brings to ECI over 25 years of business management experience in high technology firms. Prior to joining the company, Cohen spent more than eleven years at KLA-Tencor Corporation (S&P 500 company) including 7 years as President of KLA-Tencor Israel. Based in the US over the past 4 years, his most recent position was Group Vice President, Corporate Officer and Member of the Executive Management Committee. During his tenure, Cohen successfully led the creation of the global Metrology Group at KLA-Tencor while driving revenue and market share three-fold. Cohen holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics from Case Western Reserve University.
