Prudential Annuities Names Bruce Ferris Vice President of Strategic Account Management

NEWARK, N.J. -- Prudential Annuities, the domestic annuity business for Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE:PRU), announced that Bruce Ferris has been named vice president of Strategic Account Management. In this role, Ferris leads both the Relationship Management and Channel Development functions for Prudential Annuities, including the independent broker dealer, wirehouse, bank and agency distribution channels. He reports to David Odenath, president of Prudential Annuities.
"Bruce has a proven track record in the industry. With his experience in building comprehensive product and distribution alliances, I am confident that he will take our Strategic Account Management function to the next level," said Odenath.
Ferris brings more than 20 years of financial services experience to this position. Prior to joining Prudential, he spent 11 years with Hartford Life Insurance Company, where he was responsible for the sales and marketing of all retail investment products including variable and fixed annuities, mutual funds, 401(k) plans, 529 plans and off-shore products. Before joining Hartford Life in 1994, Ferris held positions at Aetna Life Insurance Company, Covenant Insurance Company and Allstate Insurance Company.
