Business Wire, August 22, 2006

REDMOND, Wash. -- Leading online game publisher WildTangent Inc., which operates the WildTangent Games Network (WGN) was named the fastest growing web property in July by comScore Media Metrix. The company, which ships a virtual game console that is bundled with over 85% of new PCs in North America, giving consumers immediate and free access to over 250 cutting edge games, experienced 296% growth in its gaming audience for the month of July, to over 6.2 million total users. WildTangent Games Network now ranks 6th behind public companies including Yahoo!, Electronic Arts, and MSN.

"The massive growth of our gaming audience is a direct result of our efforts to innovate," said WildTangent's CEO, Alex St. John. "We offer consumers a better way to find, download and play games; and we offer advertisers a better way to build a dialogue with those gamers. We are now setting the bar for consumer choice and experience in 21st century game publishing."

Also in July, WildTangent announced a partnership with Jagex, the publisher of RuneScape, the world's fastest growing Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG). As part of the relationship, WildTangent is handling the advertising programs in North America for the property.

WildTangent's own game studios have produced several of the most successful and differentiated games available online in the past year, including PC Gamer's Runner Up for RPG of the Year, FATE (www.fatethegame.com); and the recently released hit "Penguins" (www.playpenguins.com). Game play on WGN is exploding, with users playing over 150 million sessions in July, with average duration exceeding 30 minutes per game session.
