PetSmart Names Joseph O'Leary as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain

PHOENIX -- PetSmart, Inc. has appointed Joseph O'Leary senior vice president, supply chain, effective Sept. 5, 2006. O'Leary will lead all aspects of supply chain strategy and management, and drive operating efficiency across the supply chain. He will report to Robert Moran, president and chief operating officer.
"Joe brings to our executive team the expertise and professional maturity this critical function demands," said Phil Francis, chairman and chief executive officer. "We are committed to having the right product on the shelves when our customers want it, and our ability to execute a robust supply chain strategy is a top priority. Joe has strong acumen for logistics, a depth of experience in supply chain management and strategy, and the intellectual muscle our organization needs to move forward."
O'Leary previously served six years with Gap, Inc., a $16 billion international specialty retailer. He left the company in 2005 as senior vice president of supply chain strategy and global logistics. He was most recently chief operating officer for Interactive Health, a robotic chair manufacturer and distributor. O'Leary's extensive career in supply chain management includes leadership roles with Coopers and Lybrand LLP and BP International PLC, where he began his career as operations manager. He holds a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Portsmouth in Portsmouth, England.
O'Leary is pet parent to a Bichon Frise named Suzie.
