eFoodSafety.com Inc. Reports to Shareholders that Thailand Declares Bird Flu a National Threat; One-Third of Thailand Declared Disaster Zone to Fight Bird Flu

Business Wire, August 28, 2006

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Patricia Gruden, president/CEO of eFoodSafety.com Inc. (OTCBB: EFSF), reported today that one-third of Thailand, including Bangkok, has been declared a disaster zone in an effort to help local officials battle bird flu. Most of these provinces are in central and northeastern Thailand.

Thailand has slaughtered more than 300,000 birds since two bird flu outbreaks were detected last month. Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister Chidchai Vanasathidya, at a meeting of some 260 local officials, stated that, "Bird Flu is a national threat. If we fail to contain the outbreak of bird flu, it could spell disaster for our country."

A member of the company's board of directors has hand-delivered samples of the company's products for testing to the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), a branch of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) located in the greater Bangkok metropolitan area. Subsequent meetings with BIOTEC have confirmed that initial test results on the various products have been very favorable and should lead the way for more specialized and live testing.

"eFoodSafety.com Inc. is and has been working for nearly two months with some of the most noteworthy individuals and groups in Thailand to help contain and combat this deadly disease," stated Gruden.
