Business Wire, August 29, 2006

SAUSALITO, Calif. -- Grouper Networks Inc., developers of the most complete user-generated video sharing service, and Buy.com, the Internet superstore, announced today a partnership that will enable Buy.com users to watch, share, create and upload video product reviews using the capabilities afforded by Grouper's Video Partnership Program. With one click, visitors to Buy.com can create and watch video reviews embedded directly on Buy.com product pages. Buy.com has partnered with Grouper to take advantage of its superior video sharing technologies, including its unique one-click WebCam capture feature and intuitive user video upload and playback interface. Grouper recently rolled-out its one-click WebCam capture and share feature. With this WebCam feature, recording and uploading video reviews to Buy.com is instantaneous and easy to do, as well as simple to view for anyone interested in learning more about a product from an unbiased source.

"By partnering with Grouper, we add the rich dimension of video to help Buy.com shoppers make a more informed purchasing decision," said Neel Grover, CEO and President, Buy.com. "Grouper makes the process of creating and uploading video reviews simple, and we believe that offering our customers this new degree of information keeps Buy.com at the forefront of online shopping."

"This partnership is significant because it's the first time that user-generated video is being used in a business context to allow shoppers everywhere to have more dynamic dialogue about products available via Buy.com. Interactive comments and discourse will result in more informed purchase decisions and happier consumers," said Josh Felser, co-founder and CEO, Grouper Networks.

Buy.com users interested in providing video reviews must register for Grouper through a co-branded page. All reviews will be viewed by visiting Buy.com, but will also be available on Grouper.com, with links to the relevant Buy.com product webpage. No additional software is required to upload video or use the WebCam capture feature.

Grouper also recently announced the availability of its new embedded video player, which allows anyone on Buy.com to: view a grouper video; record video comments; view any video comments related to the video just watched; one-click post video smartly to select third-party sites; and send email to friends with a link to the video, without ever leaving the video player that is embedded on the page.
