JDA Software Announces Product Roadmap for Creating Customer-Driven Value Chain; Customers, Analysts Endorse JDA Portfolio Integration Strategy as Industry First for Addressing Requirement for Vertically Focused End-to-End Solution

Business Wire, August 31, 2006

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- JDA(R) Software Group Inc. (Nasdaq:JDAS) announced the initial release of its Product Roadmap for the integration and innovation of JDA Portfolio(R) applications over the next 18-24 months. By publishing its Product Roadmap (www.jda.com/roadmap) as scheduled in third quarter 2006, JDA is on track to execute the vision it created by acquiring Manugistics in July 2006. Only JDA will offer vertically focused solutions for the global supply and demand chain market that address the requirements from raw materials flowing into production to end-consumer products at the shelf.

"The retail and supplier community is in need of one solution provider that can unleash the benefits of enabling one view of the consumer signal throughout the supply and demand chain. JDA's Product Roadmap shows how JDA will fill this market requirement by delivering a truly integrated demand-driven footprint," stated Joe Teller, senior category manager, Swedish Match North America.

"Having used JDA's solutions to grow our business and increase shopper satisfaction, I'm excited for the opportunity to achieve a new level of synergistic results with the integration of JDA and Manugistics applications," added Teller, who serves as JDA's User Group president and has been an active member of JDA's Special Interest Groups since 2003.

"Joe's observation on the potential opportunities for companies to achieve improved visibility and a single view of customer demand underscores our number one Product Roadmap objective - Enabling a Customer-Driven Value Chain. With our unbeatable combination of optimization and execution solutions, JDA is the only vendor able to drive a common, optimized plan, throughout the enterprise and beyond to include trading partners in the extended value chain," stated Lori Mitchell-Keller, JDA's senior vice president of Product Management.

"By addressing this and other key industry needs, our Product Roadmap solidifies our market leadership and communicates our strategy for advancing our product and service offerings at a pace that will significantly outstrip our competitors," added Mitchell-Keller.

JDA Product Roadmap Objectives

In addition to Enabling the Customer-Driven Value Chain, JDA's other Product Roadmap objectives include:

--Integrate Optimization, Analysis and Execution to help companies shape demand upfront to match actual supply through an integrated forecasting, promotions planning, optimization and execution solution.

--Rapidly Respond to Market Realities by enabling companies to optimally plan, respond to changes with better customer insight and rapidly adjust plans accordingly.

--Improve Visibility and Productivity with a single, consistent user interface, workflow enablement, guided analysis based upon workflow and analytical capabilities.

JDA's Product Roadmap focuses on best-in-class solutions across seven strategic categories. JDA's Strategic Supply & Demand Management (SSDM) suite combines the power of several of JDA's advanced analytic and optimization applications into a powerful suite of products that interoperate seamlessly, enabling companies to more profitably anticipate, create and satisfy customer demand. Industry Analysts Highlight JDA's Market Potential

Since JDA acquired Manugistics in July, industry analysts have also highlighted the potential for JDA to achieve an unmatched market position.

In its Aug. 10, 2006, analysis, AMR Research stated, "JDA has some unique assets for demand-driven strategies. The company could very effectively launch a differentiated suite for both retail and consumer products companies and solidify mindshare by emphasizing current and planned breadth of capabilities in the extended supply chain. Companies are investing in becoming demand driven, and JDA could fill this large gap."

"No other vendor has comparable assets for enabling retail-consumer goods collaboration, and the combined team at JDA today knows the details and nuances of retail better than anyone. It also has a proven ability to implement in mixed technology environments."

JDA Brings 20 Years of Expertise and Results to Product Integration

Together with Manugistics, JDA brings more than 20 years of pioneering innovative ways to solve the most complex challenges presented to manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and retailers.

"Our combined knowledge of best-demonstrated practices and proven results across these verticals and business processes is unmatched. By applying our deep industry expertise, we've created a Product Roadmap that provides our customers with the most appropriate path to leverage our proven demand and supply chain optimization solutions and improve top- and bottom-line business performance," stated Mitchell-Keller.
