Business Wire, August 8, 2006
LEXINGTON, Mass. -- Implements Best-of-Breed Application Lifecycle Management Strategy for Minimum Risk and Maximum Productivity
AccuRev Inc. today announced that Instrumentation Laboratory, a world leader in the development of medical diagnostic instruments for use primarily in hospitals and independent clinical laboratories, has standardized on AccuRev(R) for globally distributed software configuration management (SCM). AccuRev was chosen to be at the center of its best-of-breed application lifecycle management (ALM) strategy.
AccuRev was selected after an exhaustive evaluation of all the leading SCM tools. AccuRev will be used by Instrumentation Laboratory to enhance process automation and tool standardization. AccuRev will replace existing SCM tools, including Serena PVCS, and Microsoft Visual SourceSafe (VSS).
AccuRev will provide Instrumentation Laboratory real-time collaboration across globally distributed development locations utilizing AccuReplica(TM). Additionally, AccuRev will offer increased security, audit-ability, and traceability over all changes to multiple products being developed and maintained in parallel; thus, improving the software development process. The ability of AccuRev to provide an un-editable audit trail and to reproduce any version of the company's products shipped at any time, accurately and consistently, is considered essential.
Roland Guilmet, software development manager at Instrumentation Laboratory, stated, "We selected AccuRev after a comprehensive analysis because it demonstrated maximum productivity for our global development teams and had the most technologically advanced solution and solid integrations. We believe AccuRev will provide an incomparable return on investment and enable enhanced compliance and quality in a competitive landscape, while providing the best growth opportunity and foundation for our best-of-breed application lifecycle management strategy."
