DBI and Covelight Systems Announce Partnership to Solidify Corporate Data Security, Fraud Protection and Accountability; Solution Enhances SOX, HIPAA, GLBA, FFIEC, Basel II, PCI, & FDA Compliance
Business Wire, August 9, 2006
CARY, N.C. -- Covelight Systems, an innovator of solutions for real-time online fraud protection and regulatory compliance, and Database-Brothers, Inc. (DBI), an industry leader providing accountability and performance solutions for DB2 LUW and Oracle, today announced a strategic alliance agreement to strengthen enterprise accountability, ensure data security, enhance corporate regulatory compliance, and minimize liability due to fraudulent and malicious data access.
DBI's Brother-WatchDog(TM) captures all database activities for all users and maps the identities of responsible persons -- including Power Users, DBAs, Decision Analysts, and Web Users -- to their activities, so that accountability can be achieved across the database community.
Covelight's online fraud products capture all web application activity, including SSL encrypted transactions, and identify all users and track their sessions. Covelight Percept(TM) monitors for policy violations and suspicious user activity in real-time while providing an analytics console for compliance audits and incident investigations. Covelight FraudProbe(TM) captures online traffic, transforms it into relevant data and feeds this reduced data set of FraudCues(TM) to external event stream processing systems and log analyzers.
When deployed together, DBI's innovative Brother-WatchDog(TM) solution and Covelight's online fraud products, will offer customers an iron-clad answer for fraud prevention and regulatory compliance.
"This alliance with Covelight Systems is a tremendous step toward solidifying corporate data accountability," said Scott Hayes, CEO and founder of DBI. "Through our joint efforts, customers will have the ability to effectively monitor all access to sensitive data regardless of entry point, monitor data usage, and automatically stop suspicious activity."
Spencer Snedecor, CEO of Covelight Systems, added, "With this relationship in place, corporate executives will be secure knowing that sensitive information is being properly safeguarded with full accountability. The combined solution ensures that malicious, fraudulent and inappropriate behavior by online users will not cause damage to the organization's reputation or introduce unwanted financial liabilities."
