The GEO Group, Inc. Announces That the Completion of the CentraCore Acquisition Has Been Scheduled for Late January 2007

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The GEO Group, Inc. (NYSE:GEO) ("GEO") announced today that CentraCore Properties Trust (NYSE:CPV) ("CPT") has filed a definitive proxy statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to GEO's acquisition of CPT. The proxy statement schedules the CPT shareholder meeting to vote on the transaction for Tuesday, January 23, 2007. The closing of the acquisition is scheduled for Wednesday, January 24, 2007.
