About The Dottie Awards
Now in its 10th year, the Dottie Awards - www.thedotties.com - program is designed to entertain and acknowledge the accomplishments and creativity of Northern California businesses, organizations and governmental agencies that provide information, resources and commerce through top notch Web sites. Our goal is to acknowledge those Web sites and specifically highlight those individuals who have created excellent online environments with exemplary Web site design, content, resources and interactivity.
Conceived by the public accounting firm of Gilbert Associates, Inc., with the sponsorship of the University of Phoenix-Sacramento, and with the support from more than 20 industry, community and government organizations, the first annual Sacramento Web Awards was launched in February 1997. In 2000, the event changed its name to The Dottie Awards and has grown to be one of Sacramento's most entertaining awards ceremonies. The American Marketing Association of Sacramento Valley (AMASV) has been managing and producing the awards show since 2004, adding more creativity and marketing enhancements to the show every year.
