Kodak Launches New Check 21 Processing Solutions with CFC Technology
Business Wire, Dec 28, 2006
Hosted Service Offers Security and Flexibility to Organizations That Want to Realize the Benefits of Outsourced Electronic Processing and Presentment of Checks
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Eastman Kodak Company announced today a new check processing solution and strategic relationship with CFC Technology Corporation of Minneapolis, Minnesota, a leading provider of Check 21 services and solutions. The new, hosted platform managed by CFC Technology will utilize Kodak's portfolio of Internet-based Check Imaging Solutions. The new platform is designed to help organizations of all sizes take advantage of Check 21 benefits, allowing for businesses to remotely scan their incoming checks, which is a far more cost effective way to handle business deposits.
"Our new relationship with CFC Technology enables easy adoption of Check 21 solutions by small and medium-sized organizations," said Andy Lawrence, Worldwide Solutions Business Manager, Document Imaging, Graphic Communications Group. "Customers considering remote capture technology for their deposits or payments are asking to acquire it in a hosted service model from trusted providers, and Kodak and CFC have teamed to provide it to them."
The hosted service model is attractive to banks because it allows them to pay as they go based on demand, as opposed to making upfront, large investments in in-house technology and support capabilities.
The new software platform utilizes the latest technologies to assure integrity and security of transactions carried out at remote customer locations over the Internet.
"By utilizing the CFC Technology outsourced image host service, financial institutions, merchants and government offices are relieved of the challenges and the expense associated with managing image transmissions, along with the ongoing security and support required," said Richard Wanke, COO of CFC Technology Corporation. "Our relationship with Kodak will allow organizations to focus and grow their own core businesses while CFC Technology and Kodak manage and support a complex technology, which is our sole focus."
In addition to offering image transmission and network security solutions, CFC Technology's hosted platform includes technical support, software and hardware support, and ongoing help desk support related to check scanning, remote capture and remote deposit. The strategic relationship between Kodak and CFC Technology offers customers the full compliment of support and service from both organizations.
CFC Technology plans to roll out remote capture solutions and the hosted platform to its more than 600 clients.
