Managed Objects Names Prasanna Arkalgud to Lead Product Management; Former CA strategist will drive product roadmap for Business Service Management

MCLEAN, Va. -- Managed Objects, the Business Service Management Company, today announced it has named Prasanna Arkalgud to the position of vice president, product management, reporting to Managed Objects' president and CEO, Siki Giunta. Arkalgud will drive the strategic direction of the most advanced Business Service Management (BSM) platform on the market today.

Arkalgud has more than 16 years of experience in product strategy, development, business operations, and sales and marketing. Prior to joining Managed Objects, Arkalgud was leading the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) incubation unit at CA, Inc. Previously, he was responsible for leading and growing the global product support operations out of India. Under his leadership, the center went from supporting one brand, to a 24x7, multi-brand product support center. Prior to this assignment, he was responsible for driving the strategy and positioning for CA's Unicenter desktop management products. Arkalgud has also held various positions of increasing responsibility at CA in the sales and pre-sales organizations.

Prior to CA, Arkalgud worked at Fannie Mae, where he held a variety of application development and support roles. Earlier he worked for NIIT Ltd., in India, where he managed corporate learning centers. Early in his career, he founded a software company in Bangalore, India that developed business applications for the mid-market.
Arkalgud earned a masters degree in computer science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a bachelors degree in computer science from the University of Bangalore, in India.
