HP Positioned in "Leaders" Quadrant for PC Lifecycle Configuration Management
Business Wire, Dec 8, 2006
PALO ALTO, Calif. -- HP (NYSE:HPQ)(Nasdaq:HPQ) today announced that its HP OpenView Configuration Management Software has been positioned in the "Leaders" quadrant of industry analyst firm Gartner Inc.'s evaluation of the PC lifecycle configuration management market.(1)
According to Gartner, "leaders" are vendors that are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market.
The HP Configuration Management solution enables customers to keep their entire software infrastructures in their desired states - up to date, reliable and secure. By rapidly provisioning desktops and notebooks, enforcing configuration compliance and automating the management of all software layers on a PC, the solution delivers substantial cost savings to small and large enterprises alike.
"For HP, we believe being in the leaders quadrant is additional proof that our strategic investments are delivering value to our customers," said Deborah Traub, vice president, Product Strategy - Management Products, Software, HP.
