RCN Recognized as 'Who's Who' Business Leader in Lehigh Valley, PA; Named Leading Television/Cable Provider for Three Years Consecutively; Residents of Lehigh Valley Recognize RCN as Business Leader

HERNDON, Va -- RCN Corporation (NASDAQ: RCNI), a leading "triple play" provider of competitive cable television, high speed internet and local and long distance telephone services, announced today that it has received 2006 "Who's Who in Business" recognition by the residents of the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania area for the third consecutive year.

An independent market research firm conducted surveys within a geographically dispersed, random sample of households and from those results identified leaders in 75 different business categories. RCN was named "Who's Who" as a leading television/cable provider for 2006, and has received this recognition in 2005 and 2004 as well.
