GuardianEdge Demonstrates Advances in Encryption Anywhere Platform at RSA Conference 2006; Data Security Company Showcases Encryption Anywhere Hard Disk for Protection of Mobile Information Assets
Business Wire, Feb 13, 2006
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- GuardianEdge Technologies Inc., a market leader in reducing the cost and complexity of enterprise data security, today begins a week-long demonstration of its new Encryption Anywhere(TM) Hard Disk product at the 15th annual RSA Conference 2006, the leading information security and cryptographic conference in North America.
As the first module of the Encryption Anywhere Data Protection Platform, Encryption Anywhere Hard Disk combines strong full-volume encryption with enterprise-grade manageability, providing seamless integration with Microsoft(R) Active Directory services, management interfaces and deployment tools.
"For nearly a decade, our hard disk encryption solution has been the disk encryption standard at leading corporations and government agencies in the US, UK, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand," said Alan Fudge, CEO of GuardianEdge. "Now that we've integrated Hard Disk into our new Encryption Anywhere platform, enterprise organizations can more easily distribute disk encryption services to every computer in the enterprise, leveraging their existing IT infrastructure and simplifying the installation, management and administration of encrypted users and devices."
"The proliferation of mobile and removable devices has created new security issues for organizations because these devices may provide access to important data and are more vulnerable to theft and loss," said Fudge. "The majority of these devices are inadequately protected, mainly due to concerns about ease of management and cost. At the same time, a more stringent regulatory environment has transformed information security into a compliance issue. At federal, state and even international levels the protection of sensitive data is mandated."
The Encryption Anywhere Data Protection Platform is a unique, flexible and scaleable solution that reduces the cost and complexity of enterprise data protection, particularly on mobile computing and removable storage devices. Encryption Anywhere Hard Disk encrypts 100 percent of the data on laptop hard drives. This includes the master boot record, Windows operating system files, applications and application data, temporary files and unused disk space.
When employed as part of a comprehensive data security program, Encryption Anywhere Hard Disk enables secure enterprise mobility, protecting data as it travels in and out of the corporate perimeter on mobile computing and removable storage devices. As a result, organizations can tackle the full potential of their mobile capabilities to detect and respond to key business events in real time, at a low total cost of protection.
