Business Wire, Feb 14, 2006
NEW PROVIDENCE, N.J. -- LexisNexis, the leading provider of client development solutions for the legal profession, today announced that it will be providing online client development tools for the law firm of Carr Allison.
Carr Allison, which represents a number of highly regarded corporate clients in the Southeastern U.S., is based in Birmingham, Ala. and has five additional offices in Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.
In addition to extending the biographical listings for Carr Allison attorneys in the renowned Martindale-Hubbell attorney database, the firm has also purchased a Martindale-Hubbell Diversity Profile.
"Martindale-Hubbell is clearly the leader in connecting law firms with prospective clients on the Internet and there were some valuable online client development tools they offer that we were not leveraging to our benefit," said Thomas C. Logan, managing shareholder of Carr Allison. "In particular, the Martindale-Hubbell Diversity Profile will allow us to spotlight our commitment to workforce diversity with in-depth descriptions of tactics and goals to recruit, retain and promote minorities. We regard this as an important way to demonstrate to both prospective clients and employees that we have a serious dedication to building and maintaining a diverse workforce in our firm."
"With corporate law departments growing more diverse and expecting the same commitment from their outside counsel, firms that implement diversity programs have a competitive advantage in winning and retaining key clients," said Mike Walsh, senior vice president of large and national law firm markets at LexisNexis. "LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell's Diversity Profiles provide law firms such as Carr Allison with a valuable online vehicle for effectively communicating progress about their diversity initiatives and for in-house counsel to efficiently locate firms that have demonstrated a commitment to diversity. This is another example of how LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell demonstrates its value by connecting law firms to buyers of legal services."
