Business Wire, Feb 15, 2006
FOSTER CITY, Calif. -- Encentuate TCI 3.0 combines access security and workflow automation with user provisioning and context management to provide best-of-breed integrated Identity and Access Management solution
Encentuate Inc., a provider of enterprise access security solutions, today announced the release of version 3.0 of Encentuate TCI. The company's flagship product delivers comprehensive identity and access management, and provides organizations with automation of access workflows, the widest choice of authentication factors and powerful centralized policy administration.
Encentuate TCI is the first enterprise access security solution that combines sign-on/sign-off automation, authentication management, and user-centric auditing and reporting. Version 3.0 extends Encentuate TCI capabilities by integrating with best-of-breed user provisioning and patient context management to provide a complete identity and access management solution for healthcare providers. The solution improves caregiver productivity and protects confidential patient information, while maintaining centralized control over identity and access security policies. Encentuate TCI v3.0 also integrates with Smart Label technology to provide universal two factor authentication through existing personal devices.
"We designed Encentuate TCI v3.0 to meet the growing access security demands of a variety of businesses and industries," said Thomas F. Kelly, CEO of Encentuate. "As a result, we can provide organizations with an integrated identity and access management solution that can greatly enhance access workflows, strengthen security and can be easily deployed. In addition, we have strengthened support for healthcare organizations with context management and user provisioning, as well as enhanced shared workstation access workflow for fast access to patient information."
Encentuate TCI v3.0 is designed to ensure fast access to corporate information by automating access workflows and raising the level of access security through a choice of second factor authentication, including building access cards, smart labels, active RFID, biometrics, USB tokens, one-time passwords and cell phones. The support for multiple authentication devices, coupled with the ability to automate walk-off security policies and track access to applications, reduces the risk of unauthorized access to confidential information.
"Encentuate TCI was installed very quickly and met all of our requirements, from seamlessly integrating with all our applications including MEDITECH Client-Server HCIS, to improving productivity by streamlining complex workflows on clinical and personal workstations," stated James Hodge, SSO project manager, Stamford Health System. "Encentuate leveraged our existing HID iClass proximity cards to enable secure information access, resulting in cost-effective and convenient authentication for all clinical and support staff. Encentuate also provides our IT staff with central management of all our user credentials and access policies through a convenient Web-based console. In addition, the solution delivers a complete roadmap for our future identity and access management requirements. This is a valuable solution that will result in higher productivity for both our caregivers and IT staff, allowing them to focus on delivering quality patient care."
"Organizations are increasingly looking for single sign-on, access security and provisioning solutions that seamlessly integrate with existing applications and IT infrastructure," said John Lovelock, principal research analyst for Gartner. "It is critical for healthcare organizations to implement a complete identity and access management solution that will not only streamline workflows to improve caregiver productivity, but also strengthen security and provide centralized identity and policy management."
New features of Encentuate TCI v3.0 include:
--Context Management integration - Provides fast and consolidated access to patient information improving patient safety and quality of patient care.
--User Provisioning integration - Integrates with best-of-breed user provisioning solutions for identity lifecycle management.
--Universal two factor authentication - Enables cost-effective and convenient proximity authentication through any personal device.

--Comprehensive coverage of enterprise end-points - Supports secure and universal access to information through shared and personal desktops, Citrix, Terminal Server and Web portals.

With Encentuate TCI v3.0, organizations can finally leverage the power of an integrated identity and access management solution to improve the quality of patient care and patient safety for healthcare providers, improve user productivity, protect confidential information and comply with regulatory requirements.
