InPhonex Launches Low-Cost IP PBX Solution for Small Business and VARs; New Linksys® Solution Offers Easy-to-Configure, Extendable PBX Working Over Robust InPhonex VoIP Network
Business Wire, Feb 15, 2006
MEXICO CITY -- InPhonex, a leading supplier of Internet telephony solutions, today announced support of the IP PBX (SPA9000) from Linksys(R), a Division of Cisco Systems, Inc., the recognized leading provider of voice, wireless and networking hardware for the consumer, Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) and small business markets. Instead of spending thousands of dollars on an enterprise telephony system, small businesses can now purchase a fully functional PBX system operating over the InPhonex IP telephony network, saving on both up-front costs as well as on regular monthly telephone bills.
The Linksys IP PBX retails for $399, but InPhonex is now offering a package which includes the small footprint Linksys IP PBX and four (4) Linksys IP Desktop Phones (SPA941) on the InPhonex network for under $1000. The new system supports the following mainstream PBX features:
--Over 100 telephony features including auto-attendant, shared line appearances, call transfer, forwarding, call parking and pickup, intercom, call hunt groups, DND, 3-way Call Conferencing, music-on-hold, and "follow me" calling.
--Support of 4-16 SIP devices, ideal for an office of 4 to 16 users.
--Two FXS voice ports supporting analog phone, fax machines, answering machines or media adaptors.
--Works with the Linksys SPA900 series of office phones.
The Linksys SPA9000 is certified on the high availability InPhonex network, including integration with InPhonex voice mail and evoicemail (allowing users to review and respond via phone, email or via a web control panel).
Unlike PBX' available through legacy customer premise equipment (CPE), the Linksys SPA9000's easy configuration allows a VAR to set up a system with Linksys business phones in minutes. Supporting automatic discovery of new phones and via remote updating, (automatic updating of software and settings), the system eases maintenance costs and updating for VARs and their end-customers alike.
"With the high quality Linksys SPA9000 solution and the InPhonex VoIP network, a professional business telephony system is finally within reach for the millions of 5-16 employee-sized companies and the VARs who have sought this business opportunity", said Todd Hirshorn, InPhonex President.
The Linksys SPA9000, working over the InPhonex network, will be available early March 2006. Interested VARs can sign up for the VarPhonex Reseller Program and get a discount on the new system as well as other VarPhonex VoIP services and products, including InPhonex' high-availability open platform for automated provisioning, billing, user interface and back office support capabilities. Hosted features include simultaneous ring, voicemail, voicemail-to-e-mail, online account management, and free dialing between offices located anywhere in the world.
