Business Wire, Feb 15, 2006
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Shavlik Technologies, LLC, a leading global provider of enterprise security software solutions, today announced that Shavlik HFNetChkPro(TM) has won two SC Magazine Reader Trust Awards in the categories of "Best Vulnerability Assessment and Remediation Solution" and "Best Patch Management Solution" in 2006. The award was announced on February 14, 2006 during the RSA Conference in San Jose.
With over 1,300 product and service nominations from over 330 competing companies globally, the SC Awards are the world's leading awards program for the information security industry. The SC Awards program spans US, Asia and UK. The SC Awards are composed of both the Reader Trust Technology Awards -- voted on by SC readers in each region and the SC Awards Council, a group of carefully selected senior CSOs -- and the Professional Awards that are judged by a panel of the industry's top talents.
"We are honored to be recognized as the leader in patch management and vulnerability assessment and remediation," said Mark Shavlik, president and CEO of Shavlik Technologies. "Network security threats are growing, and companies can help protect against these threats by ensuring their systems are patched. We developed an automated patch management solution to help administrators quickly and easily patch their networks, and this award signifies that our solution meets our customers' needs."
Shavlik HFNetChkPro is a stand-alone patch management solution. It is also included into Shavlik NetChk(TM) Protect, an integrated patch and spyware management solution that can be run from one unified console.
