eStara Expands Globally to Connect Local Buyers and Sellers; Leading European Directory Services Select eStara's ''Click-to-Call'' Technology
Business Wire, Feb 16, 2006
RESTON, Va. -- eStara, the leading provider of multi-channel communications solutions that increase online revenue by linking buyers and sellers, today announced that four European local directory services - PagesJaunes, QDQ.com, PaginasAmarillas.es and Solostocks - are utilizing eStara's Click-to-Call solution. eStara Click-to-Call enables online consumers to instantly place a phone call to an advertiser. These implementations of click-to-call technology underscore the trend towards pay per call advertising in the local search community.
"Click-to-call" technology adds a new layer of customer service to e-commerce, increasing sales conversion and online revenue. In fact, analyst firm Jupiter Research found that by enriching e-commerce with "Click-to-Call" solutions, companies could increase online revenue by as much as 45 percent.
"We're delighted with this agreement with eStara. Our collaboration is fully in line with the desire of the PagesJaunes Group to provide advertisers and users with the best of online services, guaranteeing quality, speed and efficiency," explains Jean-Marie Guille, Director of Online Activities at PagesJaunes. PagesJaunes is a division of France Telecom, which also operates QDQ.com.
PagesJanunes, QDQ.com, PaginasAmarillas.es and Solostocks.com will provide millions of new advertisers access to eStara's solution. According to QDQ.com, 70 percent of "Click-to-Call" calls to advertisers have resulted in a sale, or quality lead.
"Click-to-call adoption is quickly growing across the globe. Online shoppers are looking towards search engines for more localized results that are relevant to their needs. This provides a major opportunity for Internet Yellow Pages and online directories to generate leads and quantify value for their advertisers," said John Federman, CEO of eStara. "Online directories need to make it easy for buyers to contact local advertisers, and then prove that they've delivered ROI. eStara makes that possible for millions of local advertisers through our global network of search engine and directory partners."
eStara offers local media - including online and print directories, search engines, portals, and online classifieds - the tools to implement a pay-per-call revenue model using eStara's Click-to-Call and Call Tracking products. Built on eStara's IP-infrastructure, both allow for real-time provisioning of click-to-call buttons and call tracking numbers, as well as real-time reporting, which is a crucial part of making a pay-per-call model work. In addition, eStara's IP network allows for lower cost and greater reliability compared to traditional providers.
