Fairchild Sports and Oxtar Boots End Distribution Agreement
Business Wire, Feb 23, 2006
TUSTIN, Calif. -- Fairchild Sports (NYSE: FA) today announced a mutual agreement to end its distribution of Oxtar Boots. Effective immediately, the new distributor will be Helmet House. All customers of the boot company and all those with questions regarding future orders of the product should now call 800-421-7247. Fairchild Sports will no longer be accepting orders for Oxtar boots as of Feb. 23. Fairchild Sports will continue to honor warranty claims for 12 months (through February 2007) on any Oxtar boots purchased through Fairchild Sports.
Fairchild officials commented that the company has taken great pride in helping to launch the Oxtar brand in the United States and that it wishes the company success in the future. The move comes as Fairchild Sports narrows its focus to concentrate on its core brands and OEM business. Fairchild's brand mix includes highly engineered German products, such as the Hein Gericke brand of motorcycle gear and the G-Line for Women, as well as Held gloves and Schuberth helmets. The company's OEM customers include Harley-Davidson, Honda and Yamaha Genuine apparel.
