Sentito Networks Awarded ''Best of Show'' at INTERNET TELEPHONY® Conference & EXPO East 2006; Sentito's Open Network Xchange Intelligent VoIP Gateway Solution Singled Out for Innovation and Quality
Business Wire, Feb 28, 2006
ACTON, Mass. -- Sentito Networks, a leading provider of intelligent VoIP gateway solutions for telecommunications service providers, announced today that the Sentito ONX solution - featuring its Intelligent Voice Gateway (IVG), Proxy7 Signaling Gateway, and PreVision Network Manager - won a "Best of Show" Award at Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC(R))'s INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference and EXPO East 2006. TMC reports that the conference, attended by over 8,000 people last month at the Ft. Lauderdale/Broward Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida was the best-attended VoIP conference ever held.
"Sentito Networks and their Open Network Exchange architecture are a standout indication of why so many service providers, developers, resellers, and enterprise buyers flock to INTERNET TELEPHONY(R) Conference & EXPO," said TMC President and Conference Chairman, Rich Tehrani. "Their innovation and commitment to quality attract serious prospects to their booth. Attendees know they'll find solutions from Sentito Networks that can help them meet their business requirements."
Sentito's ONX platform enables service providers to rapidly scale high value VoIP applications across PSTN and IP network topologies. The system features a carrier-class, scalable, intelligent media gateway, a high-performance SS7/C7 gateway and SIP proxy, and a real-time element management system.
"SIP is utilized as the indigenous signaling protocol, effectively reducing the reliance on additional protocols and their translations," said Will Engler, Sr. VP Marketing for Sentito. "By pushing SIP closer to the edge we streamline VoIP network architectures, ensure greater levels of interoperability, and facilitate service convergence.
This parallels the drive to 'all-IP' that we've experienced ever since ATM lost the protocol wars. We're bringing our customers one step closer to an 'all-SIP' environment."
The Best of Show awards are presented to companies unveiling the most impressive new products or releases at the show. Each winner displayed and demonstrated their product on the INTERNET TELEPHONY Expo show floor.
A full list of the winners appears on the TMC Web site, www.tmcnet.com, and will be published in the March 2006 issue of INTERNET TELEPHONY(R) magazine.
The next INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO will take place October 10-13, 2006 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California. For information, visit www.itexpo.com. Or call (203) 852-6800 ext. 146.
