Managed Objects Signs Former HP Executive Andrew Howard as Global Channel Vice President; Howard Plans to Broaden and Deepen Relationships with Key Channel Partners in Americas and Europe
Business Wire, Feb 28, 2006
MCLEAN, Va. -- Managed Objects, the Business Service Management Company, today announced it hired Andrew Howard as Vice President, Corporate Alliances and Channels. Howard will develop and manage global relationships with industry-leading systems integrators, resellers and potential OEM partners.
"Andrew knows the players in this industry inside and out and brings an impressive track record of helping sophisticated companies form exceptional partnerships," said Managed Objects' CEO Siki Giunta. "We are thrilled to add an industry veteran with Andrew's depth of experience and breadth of relationships."
Howard joins Managed Objects after 22 years with Hewlett-Packard, where he most recently held the role of Global Alliance Director, developing worldwide relationships with key partners Accenture and Bearing Point. In this role, Howard employed a two-pronged growth strategy: selective corporate account teaming and targeted solution offerings for the consumer banking and property and casualty insurance market sectors. Under his direction, Hewlett-Packard's channel revenues from these partners grew an average of one hundred percent each year.
"As someone who has watched this industry closely for many years, I witnessed Managed Objects transform the entire technology niche in a short period of time with superior offerings, consistent innovation and a strong focus on the customer," said Howard.
"In Europe we are seeing stronger interest in BSM than ever before," Howard continued. "My objective is to increase the percentage of products we sell through channel partners in the UK, Germany and France in particular. We will do this by expanding our footprint of partners and developing new education programs to better serve their needs."
Prior to leading global alliances for Hewlett-Packard, Andrew worked in the company's Managed Services division, and, as U.S. Eastern Region Sales Manager, led the company's effort to win the mySAP(TM) Hosting Services in a multi-year, global agreement. In the early 90's, Andrew was among the key contributors to the initial development of HP's offshore business model and functioned as the Eastern U.S. Region Director of Business Development.
Andrew holds an MBA from William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and a BS in Engineering from Virginia Tech.
