British Telecom Movio Chooses SafeNet Digital Rights Management Solution to Enable Mobile Broadcast TV; SafeNet Secure DRM Platform Crucial Component for UK's First Mobile Broadcast Wholesale Infrastructure

BALTIMORE -- SafeNet Inc. (NASDAQ:SFNT), setting the standard for information security, today announced that BT Movio, a fully owned subsidiary of British Telecom, selected SafeNet's DRM Fusion product for the UK's first ever wholesale mobile broadcast entertainment back-end infrastructure. DRM Fusion is a carrier grade, server-side Digital Rights Management (DRM) solution enhancing and extending Microsoft Windows Media and OMA DRM. SafeNet will provide the technology to encrypt radio and television channels over Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) and manage the access and usage of BT Movio's content. The incorporation of SafeNet's DRM Fusion product into BT Movio infrastructure enables mobile operators to assure that their content such as news, sport, comedy and music is protected in new mobile content services.
