NGRAIN Producer to Support Export to Adobe Acrobat 3D Software
Business Wire, Feb 6, 2006
VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Company to export 3D equipment animations for use in Acrobat 3D, Adobe Reader, Adobe's Macromedia Flash, and Microsoft Windows Media Player.
NGRAIN, award-winning provider of interactive 3D solutions for installation, maintenance, and repair training, today announced that their easy-to-use 3D equipment software training tool, Producer, will soon export animations for use in Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) 3D software, Adobe Reader(R) software, Adobe's Macromedia(R) Flash(R), and Microsoft Windows Media Player. These new capabilities will help customers develop exceptionally interactive training courses and materials. The release, which will include support for a number of industry standard formats, is planned for early 2006.
"Adobe PDF is the standard for technical documentation," said Anil Sabharwal, Vice President, Marketing & Global Markets at NGRAIN. "By adding support for Acrobat 3D and Adobe Reader, NGRAIN will be giving its defense customers greater leverage of this platform, allowing them to realize all the benefits of 3D directly in context of their Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM)."
NGRAIN Producer allows subject matter experts with no 3D experience or programming skills to quickly and easily develop 3D equipment simulations, which include animations, parts information, hyperlinks, and tasks.
"By adding support for the virtually ubiquitous Adobe PDF and Flash in its Producer software, NGRAIN is helping enable customers to extend the reach of rich, interactive 3D content to virtually anyone," said Bahman Dara, senior product marketing manager, Knowledge Worker Solutions Business Unit, Adobe Systems Incorporated. "For workflows where Producer customers are working with PDF files, the strengths of Acrobat 3D will enable them to more quickly, securely and cost-effectively drive to completion critical communication processes that require 3D visualization."
Currently deployed by military and defense manufacturing organizations such as the US Army, US Air Force, Canadian Forces, and Lockheed Martin, NGRAIN shortens time to proficiency in tasks and ensures first-time-right performance in the field for mission-critical training requirements.
The NGRAIN solution offers significant return on investment. A number of case studies are available at www.ngrain.com/casestudies
