Business Wire, Feb 7, 2006

LITTLETON, Mass. -- On the heels of a highly successful 2005, Marathon Technologies Corporation, the leading provider of high availability solutions for Microsoft Windows environments, today announced the launch of new Professional Service Practice. The new services, which complement the offerings of Marathon's global partner channel, are designed to educate and address the needs of a broader market for high availability solutions. With a more complete range of service offerings, Marathon's partners, enterprise customers and expanded target market can assess, design and implement Windows environments that are fully protected from faults, failures and disasters.

"As Marathon's product family has grown, so has our ability to service a broad set of customer needs." said Gary R. Phillips, president and CEO of Marathon. "The addition of a Professional Services practice is a natural progression for Marathon as we continue to address the Windows availability needs of enterprises around the world."

Marathon's new Professional Service offerings include: 'Application Availability Assessment' and 'Marathon Design and Integration Services'. Application Availability Assessments will provide customers with an in-depth evaluation of the impact of downtime to their business, as well as a current risk assessment. The Design and Integration services will provide partners and customers with Marathon availability expertise to assist with design, test and initial system implementation. 'Migrate to Marathon', which is a component of Marathon's Design and Integration Services, provides detailed analysis, planning, and design services to help companies seamlessly transition to a Marathon availability solution from an existing implementation.

"We can now offer a more comprehensive solution that includes not only Marathon's high availability-focused product suite, but is also supported by services that assist our partners and customers in analysis, design, and implementation tasks focused on assuring overall application and data availability," said David Mazursky, vice president, Services. "Our goal is to identify the level of availability our customers need and help in assuring that a solution is designed and implemented to meet that need."
