Newport Offers Quicken® Download to Executive Benefit Plan Participants
Business Wire, Feb 8, 2006
ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Newport Group announced that it will now offer executive benefit plan participants the ability to download their account information to Quicken, the leading personal financial management software package.
The account download capability is the latest enhancement to plandestination.com, the cutting-edge website on which participants in Newport plans can manage their accounts, perform transactions, and access investment strategies, financial planning, and educational information. Newport already offers this capability to participants in its 401(k) retirement plans through the same site.
"Newport is a pioneer and innovator in the development of tools and capabilities to optimize our clients' online experience," said Eric Brickman, Newport's Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. "This latest enhancement moves Newport further ahead of the pack by creating even greater differentiation in our executive deferred compensation capabilities."
Quicken 2006 is the latest version of Intuit's best-selling personal financial management software designed to simplify the management of personal budgets, bill paying, and investment tracking. Participant account downloads are compatible with Quicken 2005 and subsequent versions of the product. Additionally, account information may be downloaded to spreadsheets created with Microsoft Excel software.
"Newport leads the industry in providing participants in both 401(k) retirement plans and executive benefit plans with a convenient way to access, manage and monitor their assets," Brickman commented. "By offering them this convenient money management option, we're continuing to give plan participants the tools they need to reach their financial destinations."
