Intrado to Showcase SMS Spam Filtering, Mobility Solutions at 3GSM World Congress; Solutions Provide Wireless Carriers with Capability to Reduce Spam, Streamline Operations
Business Wire, Feb 9, 2006
LONGMONT, Colo. -- Intrado Inc. (Nasdaq:TRDO), a global provider of integrated data and telecommunications solutions, today announced it will demonstrate solutions that reduce mobile spam and improve operational efficiencies at 3GSM World Congress, February 13-16, in Barcelona, Spain. The Intrado(R) SMS Spam Filtering solution is designed to help wireless operators fight the growing problem of mobile Short Message Service (SMS) spam and help prevent revenue leakage caused by fraud and illegal use of network resources, while reducing subscriber dissatisfaction and churn caused by unsolicited text messages on their mobile devices.
In addition to the SMS Spam Filtering Platform, Intrado will also highlight its Direct Messaging Platform and 112 Broker. The Direct Messaging Platform is designed to offload an operator's Short Message Service Center (SMSC) and reduce costs by delivering text messages directly to a person or an application. This capability is especially useful for over-the-air updates performed by mobile operators. 112 Broker provides wireless operators outside of North America the ability to offer emergency communications.
Intrado continues to expand its presence in the global communications market with the development of customized mobility and emergency communications solutions. In addition to its global headquarters in Longmont, Colo., Intrado has locations in Zug, Switzerland, and Singapore, and is a partner in Intrado (XieAn) Technology (China) Co. Ltd, a joint venture with PDAger (XieJin) Technology Development Co., Ltd., to develop enhanced emergency communications solutions for China. Intrado also has relationships with some of the world's largest mobile technology providers as it expands both its product offerings and distribution channels.
Intrado mobile messaging solutions will be showcased at 3GSM World Congress in Stand L23, Hall 2, Level 1.
