SAN DIEGO -- Well-Regarded Industry Association Mirrors the Maturing Technology Professional Services Industry with Continued Growth and Expanded Market Segment Diversity
The Technology Professional Services Association (TPSA) today announced eight new members have joined its prestigious group of technology companies including Borland Software (Nasdaq: BORL), Cisco Systems (Nasdaq: CSCO), EMC (NYSE: EMC), ILOG (Nasdaq: ILOG), NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR), Primavera Systems, Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. and Xerox (NYSE: XRX).
"This is a truly exciting time in the industry, and we feel TPSA's growth is mirrored by the maturing of the professional services industry itself. To see the varied business models that are represented by our members, and to know that this collaboration will ultimately increase successful implementation and adoption of technology by customers, is really what's driving us all to move forward," said Thomas Lah, TPSA executive director.
"Xerox customers are successful because we offer them delivery models through a continuum of consulting, professional and managed services," said Bill Steenburgh, senior vice president, Xerox Services. "Joining TPSA will ensure we align our best practices with other industry leaders to add even greater value to the services we provide our customers."
Representing the new century's most innovative and successful providers of technology professional services, TPSA continues to fulfill its charter to uniquely meet a critical information gap in the industry and empower companies' respective professional services organizations to better serve the needs of their individual customers, while providing improved efficiencies and operations.
"At Cisco, our lifecycle approach to services is designed to ensure customer success with Cisco technology and can be delivered by Cisco or partners. We see TPSA as a vehicle to validate and share our services best practices," said Gary B. Moore, senior vice president, Cisco Advanced Services.
"Four years ago, EMC responded to changing customer requirements that demand more service capabilities. TPSA provides us with a unique opportunity to benchmark our progress on this journey," said Thomas Roloff, vice president and chief technology officer of EMC's Technology Solutions organization.
"Leading companies continually search for innovative ways to develop enterprise intelligence and improve the customer experience. These same companies have come to depend on NCR's Professional Services as critical factors in their success. Joining TPSA will allow NCR to collaborate with other leading service providers to identify and address industry trends and further explore industry best practices, which will benefit our valued customers," said Dave Klumb, vice president of NCR's Teradata Professional Services.
TPSA was launched in September 2005 and its members also include BEA Systems (Nasdaq: BEAS), CA (NYSE: CA), Convergys (NYSE: CVG), Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Inc. (an Alcatel company), GlassHouse Technologies, Hitachi Data Systems, Hyperion Solutions (Nasdaq: HYSL), IKON Office Solutions (NYSE: IKN), Juniper Networks (Nasdaq: JNPR), Mercury Interactive (Nasdaq: MERQE), Mentor Graphics (Nasdaq: MENT), Parametric Technology Corporation (Nasdaq: PMTC), Peregrine Systems (OTC: PRGN), Progress Software (Nasdaq: PRGS), QuickArrow, salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM), SBI Enteris, Software AG, Sterling Commerce and Sun Microsystems (Nasdaq:SUNW).
Leveraging its influential membership, TPSA serves as a pre-eminent thought leader and issues advocate, providing insights and trends analysis to the media, industry and business community-at-large on all matters related to technology professional services. The organization recently announced its inaugural Benchmark Survey and The Service 50, an aggregation and analysis of publicly reported financial data, with a focus on trends in services revenues, margins, and contributions to total corporate revenue.
