Papa John's Announces Departure of International Managing Director Grant Miller

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Papa John's International, Inc. (Nasdaq: PZZA) today announced that Grant Miller, who joined the company in 2005 as managing director, international, has left the company to pursue other interests. The company has retained the services of a recruiting firm to assist with its search for a replacement.

In the interim, the responsibilities for the company's international division will be overseen by a management committee comprised of Papa John's president and CEO Nigel Travis, chief operations officer Bill Van Epps and chief financial officer David Flanery, with Flanery responsible for the day-to-day operation of the division. Papa John's United Kingdom operations will continue to be managed by Daniel Cousineau, managing director, who will continue to report to Mr. Van Epps.

As of January 22, 2006, Papa John's had 2,912 restaurants (504 company-owned and 2,408 franchised) operating in 49 states and 22 countries.
