Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Receives $16.9 Million in Initial Funding against a $22.6 Million Contract for Satellite Communications and Network Services

MELVILLE, N.Y. -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ:CMTL) announced today that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, received a letter contract with a not-to-exceed ceiling value of $22.6 million for satellite communications and network management services. Initial funding was set at $16.9 million, or 75% of the ceiling. The contract is expected to be definitized and funded to its final negotiated ceiling within the next few months.
Under the contract with the U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM), Comtech will supply satellite capacity, communications and network management services, and related support. The contract relates to Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below - Blue Force Tracking (FBCB2-BFT), a battle command real-time situational awareness command and control system.
