Netopia to Announce First Fiscal Quarter Results on January 24, 2006; Conference Call Will Be Webcast and Available for Telephone Dial-In

EMERYVILLE, Calif. -- Netopia, Inc. (OTCBB:NTPA), a market leader in broadband gateways and service delivery software, will announce results for the first fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2005, on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 after the close of stock market trading. Netopia also will host a conference call to discuss the results for the first fiscal quarter on January 24, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time (2:00 p.m. Pacific time). Alan Lefkof, Netopia's president and CEO, will lead the conference call.
