NewMarket Technology Inc. Releases 2006 Business Plan for $25 Million in Revenue from Latin America Operations; First of Six Business Unit Plans to Be Released

DALLAS -- NewMarket Technology Inc. (OTCBB:NMKT) today released the first of six business unit plans for 2006. NewMarket is a fast growing, innovative company that just over three years ago introduced a business model with the goal to evolve the future of business technology innovation while concurrently building shareholder value. The Company combines a traditional technology services offering with an emerging technology incubation business function. The result has been three years of rapid, profitable growth from $2.3 million in revenue in 2004 to over $50 million in 2005 (un-audited).

NewMarket fosters technology innovation in North America, as well as from developing economic regions around the world. Much of NewMarket's rapid growth comes from China and Latin America. NewMarket's emerging technology portfolio includes a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solution, an Internet-enabled medical records and claims processing offering and a Homeland Security suite of advanced technology solutions targeted to municipal governments.

NewMarket's overall business consists of six primary operational units. Two of the units are defined by region -- Latin America and China. The traditional technology services offering makes up its own operational unit and the other three operations are defined by emerging technology focus; VoIP, medical solutions and Homeland Security.

The Company will release 2006 business plans for each operational unit independently. Overall, NewMarket is conservatively forecasting 15% annual growth in 2006. The sum of NewMarket's operational plans will exceed the total 15% annual growth rate. While shareholders will recognize from the independent plans a potential to substantially surpass total forecasted revenue, shareholders should also know that the plans are based on business events not yet recognized. The 15% compounded annual growth rate remains as NewMarket's forecast for general guidance with the distinct potential of generating significant revenue and earnings surprises. Following the close of each fiscal quarter, the annual forecast will be reviewed and updated, if necessary.

In 2005, NewMarket recognized $10 million in revenue from Latin American operations (un-audited). NewMarket should finalize the acquisition of an additional technology services operation in Sao Paulo, Brazil within the next 30 days. The planned acquisition is expected to add over $10 million in profitable revenue for 2006. The purchase will be a cash transaction to be paid over three years. NewMarket's primary emerging technology focus in Latin America will be VoIP. NewMarket currently manages $2 million in VoIP services in Latin America. The current estimate for $25 million in revenue from Latin America operations is derived from the combination of NewMarket's existing Latin America operations and the expected Sao Paulo, Brazil acquisition, along with 25% organic sales growth from the combined operations. Organic growth from Latin America in 2005 was approximately 500% (un-audited).
