SKY Italia Selects Pace Micro for the Launch of Italy's First PVR for payTV

SALTAIRE, England -- Pace Micro Technology plc (LSE:PIC), the leading dedicated innovator of technology solutions for the payTV industry, has been selected by SKY Italia as the launch partner to provide personal video recorder (PVR) set-top boxes for its new 'MySKY' service. E[acute accent]The PVR Pace has developed for SKY Italia features the latest in PVR technology, most importantly a 160Gb hard disk drive, which will enable MySKY subscribers to record up to 60 hours of digital quality programming. In addition subscribers will benefit from the greater viewing flexibility PVR provides as they can pause or rewind live TV and fast forward at the touch of a button, time-shift and automatically record multiple episodes in a series.
