The 5/8" panels were tested by globally recognized labs at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), which showed the panel delivered an STC value of 51 when used on just one side of a single wood stud assembly (compared to only 34 with standard 5/8" gypsum), outperforming standard gypsum walls by 17dB.
