Re-Examining Your China Strategy; SCU Seminar to Provide Tactical Snapshot of Changing Marketplace

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Santa Clara University's Center for Science, Technology, and Society will host a one-day executive seminar on Jan 17, 2006. Titled "New Perspectives: Re-Examining Your China Strategy," the program is designed for businesses involved with China as a market, resource, or investment and will provide tactical snapshot of a rapidly changing marketplace while also exploring a strategic view of today's Chinese business, technology and culture.

The seminar is comprised of six sessions

--IP/Contract Creation,

--Investment Options,

--Negotiation Strategies,

--Sourcing/Outsourcing,

--Ethical Challenges,

--Sociological/Organizational Perspectives.

At noon, Hong Chan, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's Field Representative to the Asian Pacific Islanders community will lead an informal discussion on the Governor's recent trip to China.

The seminar features speakers from Deloitte and Touche, Intel, Live365, SCU Law School, SCU's Markkula Center for Applied Ethics, White and Case LLP, and Zhongsan University.
