InterDigital Names Janet Point Senior Communications and Investor Relations Officer

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. -- InterDigital Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:IDCC) today announced that Janet Point has been named Senior Communications and Investor Relations Officer. Reporting to William J. Merritt, InterDigital's President and Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Point will be responsible for directing all of InterDigital's internal and external communications programs.
Ms. Point joined InterDigital in January of 2000 as Director of Investor Relations to manage and build the company's relationship with the institutional and individual investment community. Under her direction, the company built a solid base of analyst coverage and increased its profile with the institutional investors. In 2005, her responsibilities expanded to include the overall corporate communications and marketing programs.

Ms. Point's nearly 20 years of experience in investor relations spans large, mid- and small-cap companies. Her career includes five years as Vice President of Investor Relations for Advanta Corporation and five years in the investor relations group at Fannie Mae. In addition to her investor relations work, she has served on various corporate committees including strategic planning, finance, communications and government relations.
A member of the National Investor Relations Institutes (NIRI) since 1987, Ms. Point served six years on the Board of the Philadelphia Chapter of NIRI including the President's role from 2002 through June of 2004. She received her MBA from the University of Michigan in 1983 and her BA in Economics and English from the University of Virginia in 1981.
