SealedMedia Receives 3rd ''Designed for Documentum'' Accreditation from EMC; Sealing Service for Documentum Provides Security, Control and Tracking for Documents Anywhere Outside the Repository
Business Wire, Jan 16, 2006
LOS GATOS, Calif. -- SealedMedia, Enterprise Digital Rights Management (E-DRM) market leader, today announced that its Sealing Service for Documentum has received EMC Designed for Documentum accreditation and logo designation, a mark of quality and value deemed essential for enterprise applications.
SealedMedia's Sealing Service extends security and access control, auditing, version control, tracking and records management to content used and stored outside the Documentum repository. Currently, information on end users' desktops, laptops and handheld devices -- inside and outside the firewall -- is unmanaged, insecure and untracked. By enabling users to "seal" content at any point of the document lifecycle, as part of automated or manual Documentum workflows, they can protect valuable information as it's sent to potentially thousands of PCs around the world -- information that may accidentally or deliberately be abused or "leaked."
"SealedMedia is pleased to have attained 'Designed for Documentum' status for yet another solution as part of the EMC Documentum Application Developer Program," said Landon Lack, vice president of Strategic Alliances, SealedMedia. "This standing tells prospective customers that our solution is integrated seamlessly to extend security and control outside the Documentum repository, and it is enterprise-ready. We look forward to continuing to expand our relationship with EMC."
"We are thrilled to have SealedMedia as a partner and continuing a successful relationship," said Rob Tarkhoff, executive vice president, EMC Software. "Extending the EMC Documentum Content Management platform with SealedMedia's award winning Enterprise DRM solution brings even greater value to customers. Building upon the success achieved through joint sales of SealedMedia's first EMC accredited solution, Sealed eRoom, we now look forward to even greater results with the integration of SealedMedia into our core ECM offering."
