BigMachines Introduces SPP for Salesforce.com's AppExchange; More Than 150 On-Demand Business Applications Now Available via the Salesforce.com AppExchange
Business Wire, Jan 17, 2006
CHICAGO & SAN FRANCISCO -- BigMachines Inc. and salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM), the market and technology leader in on-demand customer relationship management (CRM), today announced BigMachines Selection, Pricing and Proposal (SPP) for salesforce.com's AppExchange. Built on the AppExchange on-demand platform, SPP for AppExchange is immediately available for test drive and deployment at www.appexchange.com, in conjunction with the Salesforce Winter '06 release.
With AppExchange, salesforce.com customers now have access to new applications that bring the benefits of salesforce.com to an entire business, letting them manage and share all of their company information on-demand. Using AppExchange, companies can easily add any number of new on-demand applications to their existing Salesforce deployments, extending their success and making the full power and creativity of the salesforce.com customer, partner and developer community available with just a click.
BigMachines Selection, Pricing, and Proposal (SPP) solution extends Salesforce functionality to enable users to quickly generate rich, accurate proposals. SPP users can quickly select the right products to quote to the customer by searching for products using multiple search criteria including descriptions, part or SKU numbers, product families, price lists, and other custom fields. Users add the selected product(s) to a quote with one click. The quote is automatically populated with address and customer data from the related Salesforce Accounts and Contacts. Quote and revision numbers are generated automatically and all changes are tracked. Rich proposal packages can be generated in Abobe (.pdf) or Microsoft Word (.rtf) formats and include cover letters, product descriptions for each line item, pictures, graphs, drawings, marketing collateral, and terms and conditions. All relevant proposal data is automatically populated back to the Salesforce Opportunity ensuring up-to-date pipeline data and eliminating manual data re-entry. Quotes can be converted to orders with one click and submitted electronically to the business system via BigMachines Integration.
AppExchange allows users to deploy all their on-demand applications in a single, integrated environment. By adding BigMachines OnDemand to their existing Salesforce deployment, users now have the power to build a complete, streamlined, lead-to-order system," said BigMachines CEO Godard Abel. "BigMachines quote data export feature provides users with accurate data thus producing accurate analysis, forecasting and, most importantly, orders."
BigMachines SPP for AppExchange is one of more than 150 application listings created by salesforce.com, its customers and partners that are now available on the salesforce.com AppExchange, the world's first on-demand application platform. AppExchange provides unprecedented ease of customization and integration for Salesforce deployments, as well as enabling a whole new generation of on-demand applications that go beyond CRM. Launched today, AppExchange enables all of these on-demand applications to be easily shared, exchanged and installed with one click into any salesforce.com account.
